The differences between UI and UX, and explanations of each.
I was researching the definitions of UI (user interface) and UX (user experience) and found a perfect analogy when describing the attributes and details of each digital element. Imagine becoming the owner of some property, and you’re looking to build your very first house. What are the initial components to starting this process, and who will you need? The answers are an architect and a(n) (interior) designer. To know what and how to build your house, you need a plan and design when it comes to the project details. Like the architect, UX is the digital element that creates, plans, organizes, and tests the product or service usability on a website or application. The designer is a perfect definition for UI, being that it’s the details and design of the digital interface. This element is the one where customization can be more exciting, and who wouldn’t be excited to design their own home? Both of these digital elements are vital when creating a hosted or custom website or application, and they will determine the success of the business based-off the user-friendliness of all its components.
